Project Brief
This was a family home in Hilversum where I designed the whole interior. The owners wanted character and comfort, a house that feels timeless and lived-in rather than styled. Natural materials, soft light, and warm, natural shapes throughout, drawn from references we built together, from the ease of the nineties to the calm of Paris. A home that would still feel right in ten years.
Our Solution
I designed the entire home and guided every choice, in close and easy collaboration with owners I genuinely enjoyed working with. That included a custom kitchen with an island, a built-in seating nook by the dining table, and a bespoke bookcase around the fireplace, down to the curtains and wallpaper. Oak, walnut, terrazzo and calm, natural tones carry the warmth throughout. The result is a family home with real character, made to be lived in.
